Hours for homework --> pg. 47-62 & “Undocumented Youth Activism as Counter-Spectacle"
Really reflected on Jose Antonio's embrace of American culture/rejection of Filipino culture as I also struggled with my own personal embrace of Mexican culture and general identity growing up.

Group Meeting/Discussion, decided to start petition/take action inspired from book to better Bonner @ Earlham <3
Was really happy to see the Scholar Strike crossover to Bonner along side my other classes! I was excited to have a reading that mentioned the Bracero program, as both of my grandfathers were involved in it. Didn't know about this until I learned about the program during my Border Studies semester and I brought it up to my parents who were then prompted to share this info with me. Hopefully we can touch upon that reading for a sec in the next meeting! Hope y'all got a chance to reflect a bit on the purpose of the strike <3
Did the 09/09 meeting reading, kind of anxious during the Dear America reading because I knew of the author previously, more specifically about HOW he found out he was undocumented since I read an article by him discussing that when I was in high school. But I'm glad we finally got to that part as I think now the author won't hold back anything in the continuing chapters.
Homework for my first meeting/general groups 2nd meeting!
The groups official second reading but my first meeting! Was excited to participate and loved hearing everyone's insightful feedback!
Bonner Love Goodie Bag Event! <3 Nice to catch up with Bonners
Homework for first Dear America meeting, excited to read about Jose Antonio's life as first read about him in high school <3
