Richmond Art Museum

About

Founded in 1898, the Richmond Art Museum (RAM) is the only public art museum housed in an active public high school in America.  Art education has always been an integral part of the organization since its beginnings.  Students have direct access to the art museum and are invited to all exhibitions and programs.  Today, RAM offers more than 250 educational programs with 22,000 people in attendance.

The Richmond community has always valued the arts boasting numerous arts organizations and many national accolades including the first recordings of jazz, the first high school orchestra, the first screening of a motion picture and the only public high school to have an art museum.
