Habitat for Humanity's mission is to bring people together to build homes, communities, and hope. Our principles are to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ, focus on shelter, advocate for affordable housing, promote dignity and hope, and support sustainable and transformational development. Established in 1990 with the purpose of partnering with other community groups and organizations to construct homes for families that otherwise could not afford simple, decent housing. Habitat for Humanity of Greater Richmond, Inc. exists to provide decent, affordable housing to those in our community who otherwise would be forced to live in substandard housing and not know the joy of home-ownership.
